Since houses were built on the front of the nursery in 1997, the nursery is tucked away from the main road and the only part of Barters visible to passing motorists is the Plant Centre, at the east end of the village of Chapmanslade. We're an hour from Bristol, 50 mins from Salisbury, 45 min from Chippenham, half an hour from Bath and Shepton Mallet, 20 minutes from Trowbridge, 10 minutes from Westbury, Warminster and Frome.
From Westbury (East)
If you're coming from Westbury or the east, come through Westbury following signs for Frome (A3098). This will bring you in to the village of Chapmanslade. About 200m after passing the Chapmanslade sign, there are some new-ish houses on the right hand side. Cley Hill Gardens is the next turning on the right - drive up there and the nursery is at the end of this short road.
From Frome (West)
If you're coming from Frome or the west, drive through the village of Chapmanslade. You will eventually pass the Three Horseshoes pub on your right and then a red telephone box. Cley Hill Gardens is the next turning turning on the left, about 100m further on. Drive up there and the nursery is at the end of this short road.
From Bath (North)
Coming down the A36, you'll see a sign for Chapmanslade/Frome A3098. Taking that left turn will bring you round opposite Row Farm Garden Centre.
