PRICES
All prices are quoted ex-Nursery and excluding VAT. Goods will be invoiced at prices ruling at the date of despatch. The right is reserved to vary prices without notice. Orders not collected within one month will be cancelled and stock will be offered for sale again.
REFERENCES
When opening a new account, customers must complete an account-opening form and supply two trade references and the name and address of their bankers. Orders must be paid for on collection/delivery, until the references have been taken up.
PAYMENT TERMS
All accounts are strictly nett 30 days. Accounts not settled by the end of the month following invoice will be subject to a 2% surcharge per month where extended credit terms have not been agreed.
The right is reserved to cancel any order if at the time of despatch the buyer’s account for previous supplies is overdue and not settled.
Payment can be made in cash or by cheque, credit card or BACS. Bank details are as follows:

LEGAL TITLE
All goods, whether delivered or collected, remain the property of Barters Farm Nurseries Limited until they have been paid for in full by the customer.
LABELLING
Whilst taking care to be as accurate as possible, Barters Farm Nurseries will not be liable for any incorrect retail pricing. Responsibility will be limited solely to the supply of a replacement correctly priced label.
DELIVERY
At least three working days notice is required for delivered orders. Minimum order for free delivery within our normal delivery area is £350. For orders below that value, there will be a £25 delivery charge. When delivery has to be made by carrier or is outside our normal delivery area, this will be charged at cost. All charges are subject to VAT at the current rate.
COLLECTION OF ORDERS
Customers are asked to give as much notice as possible. Orders will be dealt with in rotation of order date.
SUBSTITUTIONS
We reserve the right to substitute in both size and variety where necessary unless specifically requested not to do so.
COMPLAINTS
Every care is taken to ensure that your plants reach you in good condition; they require careful aftercare and watering. This is beyond our control and therefore we cannot be held responsible in the unlikely event of any ensuing losses attributable to such failure.
Where we have supplied stock sourced from other nurseries and this subsequently fails, we are only able to replace if our supplier does the same – usually, they do not supply free replacements.
Whilst we hope that you don’t have any complaints, if you do, we must be notified in writing within five days of receipt of the order. This allows us to investigate where necessary.
